Crafty Queens Connection: The Beginning

This 'thing' is something I've been thinking about for a few years now but never quite knew how to start it and to be honest, I still don't know what I'm doing. So I finally decided to at least just toss it online and see what happens instead of having this idea sit in my head. I figure I have enough savvy friends with interesting ideas to get this thing flying, right?

Basically the idea of this whole thing is to have a place for crafty women to share, learn & grow. (and maybe even make some money for ourselves in the process)

Maybe you're the kind of woman who makes something but it hasn't been selling as well as you'd like. I'm hoping that if you tell us about it, together we can get the word out about your product! In turn, you'll do the same for someone else.

Maybe you happen to have a talent or service that you can offer someone but don't know how to tell people about it or haven't found anyone who wants/needs it? Hopefully someone else in this group knows someone to hook you up with.

Ever wanted to teach someone a new craft? I'm actually always looking for new things to learn, in fact right now I'd love to learn how to sew, crochet & knit, just to name a few things. I'm sure there's tons of other women out there who want to learn new things. Maybe you could post written or video tutorials or even offer to hold classes in your home or public facility?

How about all our frugal ladies out there? Share your tips & tricks with your friends just one time and you'll know instantly how good it feels knowing you've been able to save a friend some money.

The options here really are endless & I'd like to see this group grow. I need all your help to get it going though! I'm open to any & all suggestions as long as they are about helping one another!

SO - let's start this out with a few questions:

What is your name/Where are you located?
What kind of product or service are you offering?
Do you have a website?
What would you like to get out of being a part of this group?

Thanks!
Faith Branson

  1. I'll start by answering my own questions.

My name is Faith & I'm located in Salem, Oregon and I have a small photography business. My portfolio is located at www.facebook.com/lolabonitaphotography. I'd like to be able to help other people market their items and in turn, have people do the same for me. Free advertising is golden!

  3. I'm Bethany O'Sullivan. I'm located in Philomath /Corvallis Oregon. I do quite a few "crafty" things, but have no official business going. I have a photo album on face book "i can make that" where ive displayed my goods. I love to cover goodies in chocolate, bake and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. Outside the kitchen I like to crochet (its new to me and I want to learn more), Decoupage, draw/paint, make beaded jewelry, & scrapbook and card making. I enjoy doing it and enjoy giving the homemade gifts. I just want to learn more and open up to others with helpful connections. Very excited.

  4. My name is Amanda Durgeloh and I recently started ALD Haif Designs. You can find my stuff on Facebook at www.facebook.com/aldhairdesigns. I love making stuff and have two little girls that always need something cute for their hair so I figured why not start making them, and then I kept that going with making them for others too!! I hope to be able to get my name out there through this as well as help others get their names out there too! Super excited about getting connected to other women who enjoy this too!! Thanks to Faith for all your hard work to get this started!
